Love Without Emergency: I Want This but I Feel Like I'm Going to Die: Writings on Trauma, Attachment, and Polyamory

Clementine Morrigan
For the first time, I have collected all my writing on the subject in one place. The pieces in this zine were written between 2014 and 2019; including my early writing on polyamory as well as my more recent work. This zine moves away from simple (and often judgmental/shaming) frameworks around managing jealousy, and toward a recognition of the distress traumatized and attachment injured people can feel when trying to navigate polyamory. Understanding distress as an embodied, nervous system experience, rather than simply a cognitive one, this collection of writing is trauma and attachment informed. Normalizing and validating distress while exploring the experience of earning secure attachment and developing nervous system regulation, this zine draws on both my personal experience as an anxiously attached polyamorous person living with c-ptsd, and my experience as a facilitator teaching my Trauma Informed Polyamory workshop. It’s a thick zine with fourteen pieces of writing covering topics such as non-hierarchical polyamory, queer platonic love, shame, anxious preoccupied attachment, avoidant attachment, desiring polyamory, and nervous system regulation. With a bright pink risograph cover, this zine celebrates trauma survivors and the hard work and great courage we put into love.

The State of Affairs Rethinking Infidelity / Mating In Captivity 2 Books

Esther Perel
Description:- The State Of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity - a book for anyone who has ever loved Infidelity is the ultimate betrayal. But does it have to be? Relationship therapist Esther Perel examines why people cheat, and unpacks why affairs are so traumatic; because they threaten our emotional security. In infidelity, she sees something unexpected - an expression of longing and loss. A must-read for anyone who has ever cheated or been cheated on, or who simply wants a new framework for understanding relationships. Mating in Captivity When you love someone, how does it feel? And when you desire someone, how is it different? In Mating in Captivity, Esther Perel looks at the story of sex in committed couples. Modern romance promises it all - a lifetime of togetherness, intimacy and erotic desire. In reality, it's hard to want what you already have. Our quest for secure love conflicts with our pursuit of passion. And often, the very thing that got us to into our relationships - lust - is the one thing that goes missing from them. Determined to reconcile the erotic and the domestic, Perel explains why democracy is a passion killer in the bedroom. Argues for playfulness, distance, and uncertainty. And shows what it takes to bring lust home. Smart, sexy and explosively original, Mating in Captivity is the monogamist's essential bedside read.

The Traffic in Women: Notes on the “Political Economy” of Sex

Gayle S. Rubin
She asserts that these writers fail to adequately explain women's subjugation; therefore, Rubin offers a reinterpretation of their ideas. Rubin addresses Marxist thought by identifying women's role within a capitalist society. She argues that the reproduction of labor power depends upon women's housework to transform commodities into sustenance for the worker. A capitalistic system cannot generate surplus without women, yet society does not grant women access to the resulting capital.

Fucking Magic #10

Clementine Morrigan
It’s about redefining what being a slut means to me in the context of my gayness, and learning how to communicate queer desire with partners who are as traumatized as me. It’s about becoming a punk in my 30s, bringing my dates to the river, getting my cock sucked, and dancing my ass off at a queer sober dance party. It’s about healing structural dissociation, breaking the law, and honouring heartbreak. It’s about long term love, the somatics of making music, and learning what family really means. Fucking Magic #10 invokes the power of both desire and refusal, animating a queer anarchist witchcraft in which cutting fences and pressing my pussy into the riverbank are powerful acts of magic.

The Red Zone: A Love Story

Chloe CaldwellChloe Caldwell
Spurred by the intensity and seriousness of her new relationship, she soon realizes that her outbursts of anxiety and rage match her hormonal cycle. Compelled to understand the truth of what's happening to her every month, Chloe documents attitudes toward menstruation among her peers and family, reads Reddit threads about PMS, goes on antidepressants, goes off antidepressants, goes on antidepressants again, attends a conference called Break the Cycle, and learns about premenstrual dysphoric disorder, PMDD, which helps her name what she’s been going through. For Chloe, healing isn’t just about finding the right diagnosis or a single cure. It means reflecting on other underlying patterns in her life: her feelings about her queer identity and writing persona in the context of a heterosexual relationship; how her parents’ divorce contributed to her issues with trust; and what it means to be a stepmother. The Red Zone is a funny, intimate, and revelatory memoir for anyone grappling with controversial medical diagnoses and labels of all kinds. It’s about coming to terms with the fact that, along with proper treatment, self-acceptance, self-compassion, and transcending shame are the ultimate keys to relief. It’s also about love: how challenging it can be, how it reveals your weaknesses and wounds, and how, if you allow it, it will push you to grow and change.

Been There, Done That: A Rousing History of Sex

Rachel Feltman
Historical treatments for erectile dysfunction included goat testicle transplants. Sex has changed in a million ways since Adam and Eve, the original awkward virgins, and in a million others it hasn’t. With unstoppable curiosity and mischievous humor, science writer Rachel Feltman debunks myths, breaks down stigma, and uses the long, outlandish history of sex to dissect present-day practices, attitudes, and taboos. Feltman knows that cracking jokes is an effective way to dismantle fear and help people gain scientific literacy, and indeed, as it gravitates toward the strange, Been There, Done That delivers some meaningful and sorely needed sex-ed. Explorations into age-old questions and bizarre trivia around birth control, aphrodisiacs, STIs, courtship rituals, and more show that, when it comes to carnal pleasures and procreation, there’s never been a normal and that sex isn’t something to be scared of.

Astral Sex: Art of Astral Projection

Sapphire .
Think of this: if there is no reward (orgasm) for sexual behavior, I doubt how many people would choose to have sex. We all know about human sex, but how about sex in the astral? I have quiet a collection of adventures and recollections of Astral Sex. The key scenario, most human curious about is: how to do it in astral, how many ways are they, what is the difference compare with human, and what does it like having sex with another astral being? And how gods/goddesses have sex? Everlasting orgasm possible? Also, as a bonus of the book, there are also some secrects regarding sex; you can apply either in astral or in human life. Like, how to do -oral- correctly, how to prolong Sex, and how to overcome many well-known difficulties in Sex. It is a eye-opener and fantastic read, it is nothing like in the human earth, they are -superior, sensual, and how about -dating (sexual encounters) in astral? Want to know more? Just keep reading.
