Jung: An Introduction Into the World of Carl Jung: The Shadow, The Archetypes and the Symbols (Psychology and the Mind)

Meredith Moonchild - 2016
They even became friends over the years, but they parted ways when it came to psychology. While Freud's approach was clinical and scientific in the Western sense, Jung started to draw his inspiration from Eastern philosophies and religions. Because of Carl Jung we have today a bridge between the mythological and mysterious world and the world of psychology. His research into dreams and sub-conscious parts of the minds offers riveting insights into human psychology that none before him have been able to. While Freudian psychology is still the branch most taught within universities, there is a large undercurrent of Jungian psychology seeping into our society. Especially the spiritualists and the New Age movement have embraced Jung as a teacher to better understand their own "Shadows" and dark aspects of the psyche. In this short read you will be given a concise and insightful introduction into the world and psychology of Carl Jung.

SUMMARY 12 Rules For Life: An Antidote To Chaos

Peterson ATTENTION: You can now buy the paper back version of this book at the current reduced price of $6.99 and get the kindle version at a discounted price of $0.99 instead of $2.99 using our Kindle Matchbook program cheers! Jordan B. Peterson's "12 Rules for Life" is quite the thought-provoking read. The Canadian clinical psychologist puts forth his ideas about personality, being, existence; the interconnectedness of order and chaos, two forces evident in all of life; the gender roles assignment discourse; the source of the world's greatest evils, and many other controversial topics. It is refreshing, and sometimes confusing, how he weaves biblical accounts and characters into the telling of his stories. But what might raise the hairs of most are his views on political correctness regarding postmodernism, white-privilege, cultural appropriation and everything in between. One thing is clear about Peterson. He is a man unapologetic of his views, which are largely unpopular, closely conservative, and politically incorrect. This book contains a comprehensive, well detailed summary and key takeaways of the original book by Jordan B. Peterson. It summarizes the book in detail, to help people effectively understand, articulate and imbibe the original work by Peterson. How To Do No Contact Like A Boss!: A Guide to Detaching from Toxic Relationships for Intuitives, Empaths & Sensitives

Kim Saeed - 2015
Being part of a healthy love relationship has been shown to increase longevity and improve mental well-being. On the other hand, being at the receiving end of emotional abuse has the opposite effect. The long-term effects from being in a constant fight-or-flight state often lead to complete dysfunction – especially for intuitives, empaths, and highly sensitive people.Intuitives, Empaths, and HSPs have an innate drive to facilitate healing in others. Unfortunately, they usually ignore their own needs in doing so. In general, an intuitive/empath/HSP is non-violent, non-aggressive and leans more towards being the peacemaker. Any area filled with disharmony creates internal distress, and if they find themselves in the middle of a conflict, they will strive to resolve the situation as quickly as possible, if not avoid it all together. Essentially, they associate with the life force, healing, and the urge to create what was not there before, such as when they try to “fix” people or situations, or help others heal and awaken.Because of these natural tendencies, Intuitives/Empaths/HSPs often finds themselves staying in a relationship with a toxic personality for too long. Empaths often have a track record of developing codependent behaviors in childhood to deal with the overwhelm of unfairness in the world and to please others, which they usually carry into their adult relationships…until a soul crisis happens where they are forced into awakening – as is often the outcome of exiting toxic relationships with narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths. How to Do No Contact like a Boss explains the reasons for going No Contact and takes the reader from the initial planning stages, exit strategies, the moment of No Contact, what to expect in the days that follow, and how to deal with a persistent and/or abusive ex who refuses to respect one’s request for No Contact. Also included are alternative healing methods that address what traditional therapy often overlooks.

Prisoner in the mud: A young German's diary from 1945

Herwarth Metzel - 2020
The front lines are collapsing all around, bombs are falling. On Thuringia too, a state in the centre-east of Germany. The Second World War is nearing its end. Boys of fifteen and sixteen from the Jungvolk and Hitler Youth movements set off in the belief that they can still save the fatherland – they are determined to defend it, bravely and loyally. Inadequately armed, however, they are forced to retreat from the advancing enemy in an entirely pointless march. They are taken prisoner and transferred to one of the infamous camps near Bad Kreuznach. Conditions in the camp are tough. The diarist is fortunate enough to survive and to be released relatively early, at the end of June 1945. Germany, spring 2005. The fatherland too has survived and has been reunified. It is a year of commemoration days, of monuments and memorials, and in the run-up to the sixtieth anniversary it is already being declared by all the media as a year of remembrance of the downfall of the ‘Third Reich’. Inspired by this, the diarist, now seventy-five years old, remembers the notes and diary entries kept at that time by his fifteen-year-old self. Originally written on scraps of toilet paper, he copied them out after his fortunate return in July 1945, and has not looked at them since. The notes are very personal and honest and, above all, authentic. They give an insight into the experiences and the thoughts of a young boy who by his own admission left as a ‘proud soldier’ and returned home as a ‘pitiful vagabond’. It is a historical document. It is not the story of an individual fate. Thousands had the same experiences. That is why the diarist decided, with some hesitation, to publish his diary as a part of the historical truth, even if there already existed numerous reports and publications about the camps in Bad Kreuznach, Bretzenheim, Dietersheim, Bingen, Heidesheim and the other ‘Rhine Meadows camps’. All these records are testament to the fact that tyranny often abounds when one group of people is given unchecked power over another. According to Livy, as many as 2400 years ago the Gaulish king Brennus called to the defeated Romans: ‘Vae victis!’ – woe to the vanquished! Herwarth Metzel
