    It’s made of ontological mathematics. It’s a living, thinking, self-optimising holographic organism composed of immortal, indestructible, ontological mathematical units called monads, defined by the most powerful and beautiful equation in the whole of mathematics: Euler’s Formula. Monads have a much more resonant name: souls. We all inhabit Soul World, a wondrous Singularity outside space and time. Our souls are individual mathematical singularities: autonomous, uncaused, uncreated, dimensionless frequency domains. Via Fourier mathematics, these imperishable, immaterial monadic souls can collectively create the spacetime domain of the material world. Where each soul is a single frequency domain, the material world of space and time is their collective Fourier output. What is “matter”? It’s simply dimensional energy: energy existing in the Fourier spacetime domain rather than in the Fourier dimensionless frequency domain. Souls are immense mathematical vibrations, based on precise, analytic cosine waves and imaginary sine waves (hence are defined by complex numbers rather than the real numbers of scientific materialism). From these waves, we get wave mechanics (quantum mechanics) and holography, i.e. a complete explanation of the material world. Fourier mathematics solves the previously intractable problem of Cartesian dualism (the famous mind-body problem), i.e. how unextended minds can interact with extended matter. Minds are just Fourier frequency domains and bodies Fourier spacetime domains. Bodies are nothing but an alternative mathematical way of representing mental information. They are mental constructs or projections, and have no independent existence. What was the Big Bang? It was a purely mathematical operation in which a frequency domain of mathematical souls (a Singularity), outside space and time, generated a Fourier spacetime domain: a cosmic hologram grounded in quantum mechanics. It really is as simple as that. As Plato recognised, true reality belongs to the intelligible domain (which, mathematically, is an eternal, immutable frequency domain based on Euler’s Formula). Illusory, contingent reality constitutes the sensible domain studied by scientists. It’s the rational mind, not sensory experiments, that reveals the eternal, intelligible truths of reason. The sensible world is all about “truths of fact”, which have no eternal necessity. Reality is defined by a single mathematical law: the God Equation, derived from Euler’s Formula. This single equation generates and controls the entire universe. It’s the True God – an all-powerful ontological equation, but it’s certainly not a person. It’s outside space and time and yet can create space and time. It’s the uncaused cause of everything, the Prime Mover. What, at root, are mind and life? They are simply the eternal flow of structured information – mathematical waves. Consciousness is what arises when this information flow becomes self-aware and can attach “I” to itself. Information is all about numbers. As Pythagoras said, “All things are numbers; number rules all.” He was asserting that we inhabit a universe of information, of ontological mathematics. Leibniz was the greatest of all the inheritors of Pythagoras’s mathematical legacy. His principle of sufficient reason is the quintessence of ontological mathematics. With this principle and the Leibnizian doctrine of compossibility, it can be shown that Max Tegmark’s Mathematical Multiverse and indeed all Multiverse theories are fallacious.

    New in this edition is my translation of an old "Philippe Lenormand" instruction sheet (c.1850) from German into English in an effort to understand the original or traditional meanings of the cards. My goal in writing this e-book was to organize my notes about the original images and traditional card meanings used by cartomancers during the decades after the Lenormand deck made its first appearance in Germany during the 19th century. I was also interested in the names given to the cards and the linguistic connotations and implications of those choices of words. In the Appendix of edition, I have reproduced some of the public domain information about coffee grounds divination, to which the Lenormand owes much of its symbolism, as well as stories related to the Lenormand card images because these stories were part of the popular culture of the time. The Lenormand cards used to illustrate this text are the creations of Jose Manuel Belloso Talavera of Barcelona who kindly gave permission for their use in this text. Plus the symbolic systems from which conventional tarot derive and the symbolic systems into which more recent commentators have attempted to fit it, now often have little appeal or relevance.The symbolic systems used in the past to generate or explain the 78 images usually ended up confected in such complex ways that the supposed meanings of the resulting cards bore only a highly etiolated relationship to them.     Neither a study of abstract objects nor a mere language or logic, mathematics is a science of real aspects of the world as much as biology is. For the first time, a philosophy of mathematics puts applied mathematics at the centre. Quantitative aspects of the world such as ratios of heights, and structural ones such as symmetry and continuity, are parts of the physical world and are objects of mathematics. Though some mathematical structures such as infinities may be too big to be realized in fact, all of them are capable of being realized. Informed by the author's background in both philosophy and mathematics, but keeping to simple examples, the book shows how infant perception of patterns is extended by visualization and proof to the vast edifice of modern pure and applied mathematical knowledge.

    It expounds a view about the nature, roles and functions of Yorùbá beliefs in contemporary societies. The position is that philosophical ideas implicit in the Òrìṣà religion form the basis of Yorùbá culture in West Africa, the Americas, and other parts of the world. The book is, therefore, not a catalogue of various cultural practices of Yorùbá peoples around the world. It is not an exposition of tastes in art, dance, etiquette, and other mores that are adopted by this particular social group. It is simply a theoretical account of the philosophical ideas that underlie the world-view of traditional Yorùbá societies. The subject matter of this book is those ontological, epistemological and axiological assumptions about the universe and its inhabitants that underlie the day-to-day life of the peoples called the Yorùbá. These assumptions are philosophical in nature. Ontology refers to views about the types of entities that populate the world; the nature of these entities (i.e., whether they are purely material entitles; whether they are purely spiritual entities; or whether they are both spiritual and material); the properties of these entities (i.e., what are the various attributes and qualities of these entities?) Epistemology deals with questions about theories of knowledge; what do we know, how do we know what we claim to know, and what roles does knowledge play in our day to day lives? Axiology deals with questions of goals and values (i.e., what goals and values do people have in Yorùbá societies and how do they aspire to achieve them?). Although I discuss these issues from a philosophical point of view, I should be up front about what this book is not about. For those interested in the staple philosophical diets of “dualism”, “monism”, “Descartes”, “Plato”, “Gilbert Ryle”, “the correspondence theory of truth”, and what not, this is not the book for you. If you are interested in a potpourri of Western philosophical conceptions and African beliefs, please purchase another book. For although this book will discuss Yorùbá ontological ideas on “Gods and Anti-gods”; the Àjê (who are usually improperly translated into English as “witches”); the influences and roles of these metaphysical entities on human life; views about the nature of personhood; and assumptions about the nature and value of knowledge, this book does not discuss Great Western thinkers and how their views are applicable to an African thought system. If you are interested in Western philosophy disguised as Yorùbá philosophy, this book is not for you.

    In this collection of thirteen recent essays, Peter van Inwagen applies the techniques of analytical philosophy to a wide variety of problems in ontology and meta-ontology. Topics discussed include the nature of being, the meaning of the existential quantifier, ontological commitment, recent attacks on metaphysics and ontology, the concept of ontological structure, fictional entities, mereological sums, and the ontology of mental states. Van Inwagen adopts a generally 'Quinean' position in meta-ontology, yet reaches ontological conclusions very different from Quine's. The volume includes two previously unpublished essays, one of which is an introductory essay where van Inwagen explains his conception of the relation between the language of 'the ordinary business of life' and that of 'the ontology room'. The volume will be an important collection for students and scholars of metaphysics.

    But neo-Quinean ontology has reached a crisis point, given the endless proliferation of positions and lack of any clear idea of how to resolve debates. The most prominent challenge to mainstreamontological debates has come from the idea that disputants can be seen as using the quantifier with different meanings, leaving the dispute merely verbal. Nearly all of the work in defense of hard ontology has gone into arguing against quantifier variance.This volume argues that hard ontology faces an entirely different challenge, which remains even if the threat of quantifier variance can be avoided. The challenge comes from the 'easy approach to ontology': a view that is arguably the heir to Carnap's own position. The idea of the easy approach isthat many ontological questions can be answered by undertaking trivial inferences from uncontroversial premises, making prolonged disputes about the questions out of place. This book aims to develop the easy approach to ontology, showing how it leads to both a first-order simple realism about thedisputed entities and a form of meta-ontological deflationism that takes ontological disputes themselves to be misguided, since existence questions may be answered by straightforward conceptual and/or empirical work. It also aims to defend the easy approach against a range of arguments wieldedagainst it and to show it to be a viable and attractive alternative to the quagmire of hard ontology.
