Michael G. Thomas - 2017
This massive volume includes the complete text of the novels SIEGE OF TITAN, TEARS OF KERBEROS, FIRES OF PROMETHEUS, BATTLE FOR PROXIMA, FALL OF TERRA NOVA and FALL OF HYPERION. This epic science fiction series chronicles humanity’s first interstellar confederation, torn apart by religious strife and extremism. The bloody struggle is told through the eyes of an illegal pit fighter named Spartan, who is forced to choose between incarceration or military service in the Confederate Marine Corps. This box-set includes every book in the bestselling Uprising series: SIEGE OF TITAN In the first book of the Star Crusades Uprising series, the bloody struggle is told through the eyes of an illegal pit fighter named Spartan, who is forced to choose between incarceration or military service. Choosing the Confederate Marine Corps over servitude he begins his thirty long weeks of training. Together with his group of marines, they are honed into a force ready to be thrown into the meat grinder on the newest and greatest planet in the Confederacy, Proxima Prime. His term of service will soon become one of violence and carnage, as the entire sector is ripped apart by a brutal and virulent religious movement and its shocking plans. TEARS OF KERBEROS The religious insurgency continues to spread through the weakened colonies of the Confederacy. Spartan, now a sergeant in the Marine Corps and his armoured platoon is rushed to the defence of New Carlos on the planet of Prime. The massive city is besieged by the terrifying biomech shock troopers, its fall is imminent. As the battles rage across the continent enemy agents continue to foment revolt throughout the remaining colonies in their struggle to bring the empire crashing down. FIRES OF PROMETHEUS The sector is entering a short period of calm. There is peace in Proxima Centauri but for how long? The religious insurgency has already exploded throughout the system and one by one the colonies have seceded from the Confederacy, lured to the offerings of the Church of Echidna. Spartan and General Rivers have vanished and are presumed to have been executed at the hands of their Zealot captors for the murder of the President of Kerberos. BATTLE FOR PROXIMA In this latest book of the Star Crusades Uprising series the Confederacy is on its knees. Months of war have lost them most of the populated colonies and more will surely follow. Spartan, now a Lieutenant in the Marine Corps has been given his own special platoon, the Vanguards. Using the best weapons and armour in the Confederate arsenal, his unit is thrown back to the Bone Mill to locate information that could change the war. FALL OF TERRA NOVA The action shifts to Terra Nova, the shining beacon of humanity and the single most important planet in the Confederacy. Guarding access to this isolated planet is the Anomaly. This mysterious location is the gateway to Terra Nova and the rest of the Confederacy. When the Echidna Union begins moving scores of ships to the Anomaly, Admiral Jarvis must make a critical decision that could win or lose the war. Either she continues Operation Perdition and reclaims the lost colonies of Proxima Centauri, or she sends the fleet to take control of the Anomaly and the route to Terra Nova in one final apocalyptical battle. SLAVES OF HYPERION The newly founded Alliance rises from the ruins of the old Confederacy. Scattered groups of the enemy remain, but organised resistance has been crushed. Amnesty has been granted to those still at large and peace has returned to the war-torn colonies. Or has it?

Legacy

Bob Mauldin - 2019
Taking the shuttle into orbit, they discover a much larger ship left adrift with no one on board. Commandeering it, they confirm that we’re not alone in the universe and must prepare the human race for what is about to come. Recruiting from all over the world, they begin to expand their fleet and build a federation to give humans a foothold in the galaxy. Thus the Terran Alliance is formed, led by Simon, Kitty, Gayle, and their new comrades. Everything is going according to planned as they construct more ships, but the governments of the world are vying for control of these technologies. To make matters worse, their second encounter with an alien species is not one of peace. After the attack, they are left with more questions than answers as they face resistance from, not only outer space, but their home planet as well.

Tech Mage

D.L. Harrison - 2019
Weak in comparison to other mages, but he has a special way with technology. But what good was rebuilding a car with magic, or hacking a computer, when an elemental mage threatens him with death? At least he was weak, until the government recruits him to advance their understanding of alien technology, of a ship that crash landed on Earth over seventy years ago.His life is about to change in a major way, and the surprises will keep coming, not all of them pleasant. Author’s note: This is primarily a space opera. The fantasy elements of the book are tangential at best, and I don’t believe that will change through the rest of the series. Oh, there’s mages, shifters, witches, and vampires in these pages, but that’s really not the focus.

Galactic Forge

Alex Guerra - 2018
He moves to investigate and to help any survivors, but the closer he gets the less control he has of his movements. An unknown force urges him to open the door of the mysterious craft, discovering the secret that lies within: a dead, alien pilot and a peculiar, otherworldly crystal. If that wasn’t enough, the crystal feels like it is alive. That’s when he hears a single word inside his mind: Run. An enemy vessel approaches overhead in pursuit of the downed ship, leaving Arthur little time to make his escape. Guided by this strange voice, Art is propelled through a hidden portal, arriving somewhere unknown On the other side of the galaxy, without a means of returning home, he has no choice but to move forward and help the crystal accomplish its mission: upgrade the ancient derelict ship, recruit new allies, and help the Galactic Conglomerate fight the Vael Empire. It may be destiny that’s called him, but it’s the choices he makes that will forge his future. Warning: This book contains profanity and violence. Read at your own risk.

Yorktown

Bill Robinson - 2014
What she finds instead is an alien invasion, one that only she and her crew can stop. Action and adventure await the reader. This is not great literature, it’s simply great fun. Some violence, an adult innuendo or two, and an occasional “frak,” otherwise fine for fun lovers of all ages. Length: Rounded off: 2001: A Space Odyssey is 70,000 words. The Forever War is 81,000 words. The Hobbit is 97,000 words. Yorktown is 98,000 words. Ender’s Game is 107,000 words. Game of Thrones is 300,000 words. This is a real novel, but not an epic one. Bill Robinson is a short story writer of strange computer fiction, including the only two intentional works of fiction ever published by Network World, "The Tolkien Ring Network," and "The Ether Strikes Back." His first novel, Intention, and it’s sequel, Destination, are apparently the most read grown up superhero novels for the Kindle.

Mark Wayne McGinnis - 2019

Also, there was that strange, annoying feeling that he was being watched . . . Humankind was indeed being evaluated, by the highly advanced Khantam Lom, an alien species in control of much of the galaxy. Did this selfish, war-mongering, human race warrant protection from the soon-to be-invading Wikk Empire? An insectile species with insatiable appetites, the Wikk were hell-bent on subjugating Earth as one of their many farming settlements. So the adventure begins. Dominic inadvertently saves the life of a Khantam Lom Observer, and everything changes. Humankind has but one—seeming impossible—shot at avoiding a catastrophic fate. Dominic won’t be able to do it alone, but will the ragtag team he’s assembled be enough? Will any of them survive long enough to make a difference?
