Fundamentals of Applied Electromagnetics
Fawwaz T. Ulaby - 1996
and abroad, this reader-friendly yet authoritative volume bridges the gap between circuits and new electromagnetics material. Ulaby begins coverage with transmission lines, leading readers from familiar concepts into more advanced topics and applications. Includes six new sections on Waveguides and Cavity Resonators, replacing the material on geometric optics in Chapter 8. Presents new Technology Briefs on relevant topics, connecting concepts in the book to everyday applications found in real life, such as liquid crystal displays, the laser, GPS, and x-ray tomography. Includes an interactive CD-ROM that allows readers to gain physical intuition about electromagnetics. A useful reference for engineers.
Hacking with Smart Phones
Trishneet Arora - 2015
The language and tasks discussed in my former books are very complex. He asked me to write something basic that everyone can understand. So, I thought to write about Hacking with a Smartphones, a readily available tool to everyone in this 21st Century. Even a rickshaw driver today who earns hundred rupees a day owns a Smartphone. Understandably, none of us want our data to be hacked by a rickshaw driver, but the tricks and methods in this book have been explained so easily that even they can clench it. With the craze of e-shopping and net banking increasing the rate of cyber crime is increasing too. This book will tell you simple countermeasures about smart phones and digital security, they are simple but dangerous. Note: Don't expect big hacking techniques through this book, it may disappoint you. #hackinstagram #spyandroidmobile #whatsapphacking #iPhoneHacking
Power Electronics for Technology
Ashfaq Ahmed - 1998
Reflecting the increasing demand for efficient conversion and control of electrical power, it considers the latest power devices, circuits, and control schemes that continue to extend power electronics technology to new applications areas. Presents material methodically - first establishing the background theory before going on to specific applications. Familiarizes readers with the analysis and operation of various power conversions circuits that have applications at high power levels, and formulates equations that govern the behavior of these circuits. Discusses the application of power electronic devices in uncontrolled and controlled single phase rectifiers, inverters, ac voltage controllers, cycloconverters, and dc choppers, and demonstrates voltage and current waveform analysis for the output, starting with a simple resistive load to more practical inductive loads. Includes many worked examples, basic formulas, and an abundance of illustrations and diagrams.
Electric Circuits
Theodore F. Bogart Jr. - 1992
Design and troubleshooting examples and exercises show students the important and practical applications of circuit analysis. At least one odd- and one even-numbered exercise for each important topic or concept is included at the end of each chapter. SPICE(Simulation Program with Integrated Cicuit Emphasis), a powerful simulation program designed to simplify computer-aided circuit analysis, is introduced in a special appendix which provides an in-depth description of how to use it.
Hvdc Power Transmission System
K.R. Padiyar - 1999
In addition, the controlability of power flows in the power grid has added a new dimension on the use of HVDC links in the context of developing Smart Grids. The power transfer from off-shore wind generation is another new application. DC transmission at distribution level voltages (using VSC-HVDC) is also being considered for integration of distributed generation in the power grid. The emerging technology of VSC-HVDC links is described in detail. Instead of adding new chapters to present new developments, the new material is added at the appropriate places. The book also presents other developments such as the application of hybrid active filters, capacitor commutated converters, double and triple tuned filters etc. The appendices give details of thyristor and IGBT valves, transient simulation of converters and DC lines, synchronous generator modeling, SSR analysis, CIGRE Benchmark models and design of DC and AC voltage controls in VSC-HVDC links. Several examples and case studies are included to illustrate the concepts.New Age Science is a newly established Science, Technical and Medical publisher. We offer high level text and reference titles to the academic community. Written by leading scientists and academic professionals affiliated to prestigious institutions worldwide, our books bring into focus innovative research and the latest teaching theories and concepts. Some of the many areas we publish in include:-Electrical Engineering-Mechanical Engineering-Chemistry-Mathematics-Physics-Computer Science
Solid State Electronic Devices
Ben G. Streetman - 1972
Students are brought to a level of understanding that will enable them to read much of the current literature on new devices and applications.
ಭಿತ್ತಿ [Bhitti]
S.L. Bhyrappa - 1996
This is the autobiography of Bhyrappa who lost his mother at the age of eleven, both sister and brother with plague on the same day when he was nine. At the age of fourteen; he had to carry the dead body of his younger brother to cremate. He was looked after by an uncle who used physically punish him and an aunt who was cruel to him. He begged for food, walked 600 miles to Bombay with the dream of making his life. Working as a hotel waiter, assistant in a theatre company. . At last he managed to continue education, completed Ph.D., and grew as novelist. This autobiography. In every sense factual, reads like a novel and has become a model of autobiography writing.
पानिपत
Vishwas Patil - 1988
It presents the historical battle that progressed between the Maratha army and the army of Ahmad Shah Abdali, the founder of the Afghan Empire. The book initially follows the battle that takes place between the army of Najib-ud-Daulah, an ethnic Pashtun, and the Scindias. It then proceeds to cover the northward progress of the massive Maratha forces to counter the threat of Najib-ud-Daulah. Eventually, the Maratha infantry and cavalry succeed in entering the Mughal stronghold of Panipat. Here, they are surrounded by a huge force of Shia Muslim and Afghan soldiers who block their source of ration. The resulting frustration and malnutrition takes its toll on the Maratha army. The book speaks of the valiant efforts of men like Jankoji Shinde, Nanasaheb Peshwa, and many other Maratha compatriots. The author has also countered the common negative portrayal of Sadashivrao Bhau, one of the Maratha leaders, with strong appreciation of his war tactics. The book highlights the myriad experiences that cast their shadows on the battleground, including bloodshed, depression, disease, desolation, martyrdom, betrayal, death, fear, victory, loss, hatred, ignorance, and vengeance. It also focuses on certain key points pertaining to India as a federal nation. Some of these points include the role of religion, the battle for supremacy between the North and the South, the detrimental influence of regional politics, the role of language, and the importance of unity. At the end of the book, the author has provided insights into his research efforts, which included several trips to Panipat. Panipat was originally written in Marathi and first published on October 20, 1988. Since then, it been translated to English and several other Indian languages, including Hindi. Panipat has received thirty-eight awards since its release in 1988, and sold more than 200,000 copies.
