Hunt receives a heated letter from Garrett Davis, the Senator from Kentucky expressing his distaste for his son’s location and demands a reassignment in the East. Hunt rides with Bill and the men on a detail in the Dakota territory to a small community consisting of a Wells Fargo Stagecoach stop, and a small trading post, known as Aberdeen.
