    They stop to see Pemberley and Elizabeth encounters Mr. Darcy, a man she has never met before. She expects never to see him again, but her expectations prove mistaken. Repeatedly.

Without having met him, she has formed an impression of a responsible man and caring brother, whose arrival will take away all her worries, but he turns out to be so much more than the sensible but stuffy gentleman she expected, and soon she is losing her heart to him.
