Shawn McGuire - 2019

Then one of Jayne’s guests turns up dead on the side of the road. Now, with some of the locals pointing out that the rash of murders plaguing the village started when Jayne arrived, Jayne has to clear her own name while tracking down the real killer. Rival Secrets: A Whispering Pines Mystery, Book Five As the weather turns crisp, Jayne and the other villagers prepare for the last big tourist draw of the season: the autumn equinox festival and its ever-popular cooking competition. Elf Tribes: The Silver Elves’ Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin

The Silver Elves - 2019
It is our hope that reading the magical narratives of elven tribes in ELF TRIBES: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin will inspire you, our kindred brothers and sisters, to begin if you have not already done so to create your own narrative or add to what you already remember and intuit. Over the last 30 years or so, we Silver Elves have given out over 6,000 elf names in our magical language Arvyndase to individuals who requested them. For years, many of the individuals who requested an elf name would also write to us and say that they felt that they were elven but didn't know any more about their elven or fae tribe. And for years, we told them that they should trust their imaginations and intuitions and while that is still very good advice, we realized in time that this was not any easy thing to do for many of these kindred of ours who were often newly awakened and needed a bit of guidance upon the path. In response to this, we created The Elf, Faerie, Otherkin Survey, as a means of eliciting the information that we needed from these individuals so we might create a narrative for them about their own magical tribe or clan of Elves, Fae or Others that was germane to them and as close as we could get based upon their responses and our own intuition. Elf Tribes: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin is dedicated to Tribes of the Elven but we have also created a companion book (see FAERIE, FAE AND OTHERKIN TRIBES: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin). If you are of faerie, fae or otherkin, you may wish to check it out. And if you are interested in elves, fae and otherkin and in the phenomenon of the awakening in our modern times of the magical folk, you will surely enjoy reading both of these books and delighting in the many magical variations of tribes that are here among us. The magical narratives we created and that compose this book are based upon the memories or intuitions and thus the responses we were given to the survey about those of elven nature. We would like to thank all the elves who participated in this survey, over 150, and we truly loved their creative responses. Of course, we used our own imagination and intuition in putting their replies into a consistent whole, which was often a challenge but a challenge we very much enjoyed. You will find as you read through the many narratives in this book that the elves are beautifully varied in their magic, healing abilities, art, lifestyle, ancient ways, governance, love of nature, relationship to mankind, preferences, symbols and skills. In putting the tribes and clans in categories, which is not easy concerning elves, we choose to use locales and environments they preferred as a means of doing so. So the book is divided into seven sections according to the basic regions that the elves indicated they each preferred to live in, which includes: the Mountain Elves, the Forest Elves, the Water Elves, the Trooping Elves (traveling between various regions), the Desert Elves, the Plains Elves, and the City Elves.

An Elfin Book of Trees for the Elven Druid: The Ogham of the Elves Using Elvish Wizard Script

The Silver Elves - 2019
It is not the same as being out in the trees and feeling their radiant and wondrous presence, nor ingesting some of the herbs and fruits that plants and trees use to enlighten and heal us. However, not all of us, in the modern world, can be among the trees regularly or as much as we would like and this tome is, in that sense, designed to express their voice in the form of an oracle for those of us who are unable at present to spend a great deal of time among them. Although, in our hearts and imaginations, we are ever surrounded by the forest. And in that way, this book is a forest, an elven woodland, an elvish glade, a living book of tree lore. The Silver Elves explain: “We have always loved, from the first moment we encountered them, the trees and therefore admired, from first we heard of it, the relationship of the Druids to the trees. Being Silver Elves — Elves of Starlight, Moonlight and the Radiance of the Trees — we naturally feel an affinity for nearly anyone else who also loves trees. And the Druids, being seers, bards and magic wielders, especially found a place in our hearts, minds and souls for their deep love and connection to the trees and to the spirit world.” The Silver Elves express in the introduction to this book that they are genuinely fond of Liz and Colin Murray’s The Celtic Tree Oracle and even though some people find Robert Graves’s book The White Goddess and its interpretation of the Language or Alphabet of the Trees to be spurious, they found great insight in it, although they accepted from the beginning that it was a theoretical interpretation and not necessarily a factual representation of the Druids and their Ogham Script and their Alphabet (Ælfabet) of the Trees. After all, the Druids had an oral tradition. The Druids didn’t write anything down as far as their teachings, beliefs, tales, myths and history until they became Christianized (those that survived the Romans), and almost everything we know about them comes, for the most part, from their contemporaries, the Romans, and from the archeologists of today who are doing a bit of educated theorizing about the Druids. There are only twenty-five letters in the Druid tree alphabet, associated with letters of the English language, but obviously connected previously with various Celtic dialects and languages. That has always seemed too few trees to the Silver Elves, who realized that the Druids, surely, were dealing with the major types of trees in their vicinity, the British Isles and mostly Southern Europe, where they lived and this is certainly understandable. We each tend to speak of and deal with the world that we know. The Silver Elves however, see the whole world as their ancestral lands, and quite frankly there are certain types of trees, which they love and adore, that just weren’t represented in the Tree world of the Druids, but which are decidedly part of the Silver Elves own elfin understanding of the world of the trees. There are over 60,000 species of trees in the world, so dealing with every species seemed a bit more than the Silver Elves wished to take on. So, they decided instead to deal with the basic types and families of trees, which gives 111 possibilities overall. In some cases, they picked a whole tree family to be represented by a Wizard Myne (they call these runes as Wizard Many-s [spelled Mynes in Arvyndase] instead of Ogham Fews) and at other times they selected individual trees. And so, in this way, they have created, channeled, remembered The Elven Book of Trees for the Elven Druid and expanded their Wizard Script to go with it. Each tree or tree group has its own chapter (111 in all). This book is easy to use as an oracle and the specifics on just how to do so are covered in the introduction and throughout the book, along with a spell at the end of each chapter for your personal magic.

Manifesting Elfin: Answers to Questions About Being an Elf and Following the Elven Path, Volume 2

The Silver Elves - 2019
In Manifesting Elfin, they explore further questions about elven tribes and relations; elven magic and healing; modern elven life; elven awakening and entering Elfin; the Shining Ones, past lives, and elven spiritual development; elves and gender; and some interesting elven perspectives. Some of the specific questions answered in Manifesting Elfin are: Did all elves come from the stars? What will elves be like in the future? What effect do our magical body parts (wings, elf ears, tails, scales etc.) in etheric form have upon otherkin? What do elves see as the difference between spirit and soul? Can we become elves? What is the difference between the Elven Way and the Fairy Faith? Who are the Shining Ones and how do we communicate with them? How do you tell your family or friends that you're an elfae without them getting upset? How often do elves do magic? What are the secrets of the elves? What's the difference between Seelie and Unseelie Fae? What's the difference between Unseelie Elves and Dark Elves? Can an elf have a soul mate who is human? How do you gently awaken a sleeping elf kin? If I feel that I'm some sort of Elfae/Otherkin but don't know what kind, what should I do? How do elves deal with our homesickness for Elfin? What is the best way for elfae to deal with the shadow s'elf, your wild side? How do elves raise children? Are elfae human? Are all otherkin fae? Who were the Elf Queen's Daughters? And, What is Paltareon, the far memory of the Elves? Most often, a person has questions as one tries: to decide if one is ones'elf an elf or is some otherkin; to understand what it means to be an elf and how one might know of one's elfin nature; to understand one's experience of having an Elven Awakening; to determine how elven magic is alike or different from that performed by other spiritual groups; to understand the keys to elven magic and enchantment; to explore more about being an elf in a human body and how this is possible; and to learn about how elves live and relate to mankind and otherkin. So if you are curious about modern elves, particularly about The Silver Elves and their philosophy and magick, then you will surely find many of your questions answered in both the first volume, The Magical Realms of Elfin, and also many more in this volume two, Manifesting Elfin.

Sticks and Stones, Feathers, Charms and Bones: An Original Oracle of the Elfin Peoples of the Ancient Future

The Silver Elves - 2019
STICKS AND STONES, FEATHERS, CHARMS AND BONES uses the ten Sacred Magical Treasures of The Silver Elves as a base. The original oracle board is featured on the cover of this book, which contains both an Inner and Outer Circle, each circle containing the Sacred Magical Treasures of The Silver Elves. There are ten of these treasures in all: The Orb of Healing, The Wand of Wishing, The Coin of the Realm, The Feather of Truth Telling, The Magic Mirror of Reflection, The Sack of Giving, The Philtre of True Love, The Phial of Eternal Youth, The Elf Horns of Calling and the The Torch of the Eternal Silver Flame. In this system, to cast the oracle, one may simply throw the sticks, stones, feathers, charms and bones upon the board and read the outcome according to the position in which they land. The oracle interpretations for this method are found within this book. The introduction to the book explains how to make your own board, how to gather and use your tokens (to represent your sticks, stones, feathers, charms and bones), and instructions on how to go about using this book to read and interpret the oracle. You may ask of the oracle to give you a general reading of what is to come in your life, in which case you will use all the tokens. Or you may wish to ask a very specific question, like, "What is my power in this situation?" In which case, you may wish to only use the Personal Charm. Or you may ask, "In what fashion will the spirits help me?" and then the Otherworldly Charm might be best. Or if you want to know what is behind the situation, what karma or fate has brought you to this circumstance, then the Small Stone might be the wisest choice. But for a balanced reading, it is perhaps best to throw all the magical objects, either together or one at a time to see the various aspects of the situation and get a full view of what is going on. Enjoy and please feel free to find us through the information in the book 'About The Author' section, and discuss with us your experiences with using this elven oracle.

Faerie, Fae and Otherkin Tribes: The Silver Elves’ Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin

The Silver Elves - 2019
It is our hope that in reading the magical narratives contained in FAERIE, FAE AND OTHERKIN: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin that you will be inspired, our kindred brothers and sisters, to begin if you have not already done so to create your own narrative or add to what you already remember and intuit. This book is dedicated to tribes of the faeries, fae that are faerie blends, otherkin, otherworldlies, and miscellaneous assorted fae, but we have also created a companion book that has the elven tribes in it. So if you are of elven kind, you may wish to also check out ELF TRIBES: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind, Kin and Tribe. The over 150 magical narratives we created and that compose Faerie, Fae and Otherkin Tribes are based upon the memories or intuitions and thus the responses we were given to the survey about those of faerie, fae and otherkin nature. We would like to thank all those who participated in this survey and we truly loved their creative responses. Of course, we used our own imagination and intuition in putting their replies into a consistent whole, which was often a challenge but a challenge we very much enjoyed. The book is divided into two main sections, the first section being tribes of faerie and of the fae that are faerie blends; and the second section being tribes of a variety of otherkin, otherworldlies, and various assorted other fae. In putting the tribes and clans in categories, we choose to use preferred locales and environments indicated by the faerie and faerie blends. However, the second part of this book featuring otherkin, otherworldlies and various assorted other fae, just had too many diverse types (over 25) to categorize them by environment, and so we divided these by basic kin type, for example: Devas (Angels), Valkyries, Shining Ones and similar types together, or Dragons, Brownies, Pixies, or Shapeshifters, each in their own categories. Even then, there are many mixed peoples both for the fae and for otherkin of the various types. We did our best to choose the most prominent feature of their being to assign them to a particular chapter. You will find as you read through the many narratives in this book that the faerie, fae and otherkin are beautifully varied in their magic, healing abilities, lifestyle, art, ancient ways, governance, love of nature, relationship to mankind, preferences, symbols and skills. Perhaps, you will find your people as you read through this book, or kindred quite like them. At any rate, you can always do the survey yours'elf, or do it again if you feel you have come to a greater understanding of yours'elf and our peoples in the meantime (or gentle-time as we elves often say).

An Anthology of Magical Verse: Incantations, Curses, Witches and Charms

Isla Averill - 2019
The rhythms and repetitions of poetry are akin to incantations. Poetry abounds in tales of enchantment; with its very words, rhythms and sound creating their own magic. Their very words forming spells. Witches, sirens and devils brood ominously on the lips of the poet, telling tales of wild witches sabbaths in lonely woods, offering charms of protection and tales of myth making and magic. Poetry is a language that allows us to re-enchant the world around us. This diverse collection of poems submerges us into ancient modes of knowledge, invoking the hidden and revealing the magical rites of nature. Earth and sky, moon and sun are charged with magic. An Anthology of Magical Verse explores the witchcraft of poetry, from the songs and incantations of early tribes and Anglo-Saxon verse through to Shakespeare, Robert Herrick, Ben Jonson, Emily Bronte, Kipling and many others. From the beautiful and treacherous like Keat’s ‘Belle Dame Sans Merci’ to Shelley’s enchanting and benevolent ‘Witch of Atlas’. Forbidding Hags like those of Robert Herrick cast their malevolent spells, as do the “charms of powerful trouble” brewed up by the Witches in Macbeth. Whether or not we believe in the effectiveness of ancient charms or spells, one cannot fail to be moved by the pure poetry of their language. Words have power, therein lies the true magic.
