Just Little Doilies: 27 Crochet Patterns (Tiger Road Crafts Book 18)

Tara Cousins - 2015
My goal in developing this ebook was to breathe life into forgotten vintage patterns from the 1930’s and 1940’s, by adapting and updating them with new colorful materials and making each pattern a user-friendly workable size. All of the doilies are worked in 14 rounds or less; depending on the size of your thread and hook, this works out to about 12” in diameter or less. This size means that these little doilies require small amounts of yarn, can be easily taken on the go, and are able to be completed in a single evening. When working on the compilation of this ebook, I wanted to make sure to have a variety and selection of different crochet techniques. Just to name a few: crossed stitches, the pineapple shape, working a spiral, creating petals, creating mesh, clusters and popcorns, working around loops and picots. Note: There are no charts, just written directions, so you will need to have a basic knowledge of reading crochet patterns. Doilies are a great way to take time out of a busy life to get back to the soothing relaxing art of crochet!

Susan Kennedy - 2015
(4.25mm or 5.0 mm) For a light weight yarn, choose a D or E hook (3.25mm or 3.5 mm). Some of these flowers are from my recent individual hat, animal and scarf patterns; eight of them make their debut in this collection. None of them have been included in a previous large flower crochet pattern collection! Work up a whole garden of lovely flowers and scatter them everywhere! You will need to know basic crochet stitches: single crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, chain, slip stitch, and in some of the patterns an optional stitch called a long single crochet stitch. There is a helpful youtube video about this stitch. A few of the flowers also use the technique of working a stitch in only one of the previous stitch’s loops. This is very easy, and when you see “FLO” or “BLO”, you will know to work a stitch in the “front loops only” or “back loops only.” Feel free to make and sell crafts from these designs, but as always please do not republish or share the patterns themselves, as they are my own copyrighted designs. Have a great time with your crochet!
