Chloë Sevigny

Chloë Sevigny - 2015
Chloë Sevigny has been a muse in the downtown creative scene for over three decades, beginning in the early ’90s when she modeled for Sassy, appeared in a Sonic Youth music video, and then starred in the controversial independent movie Kids (1995). Her quirky and avant-garde fashion sense was quickly noticed by indie magazines and the world’s top photographers. Since then, she has starred in dozens of films and television series, in addition to starting a fashion label with the trendy global boutique Opening Ceremony. This volume is a deeply personal illustrated chronicle of the evolution of Sevigny’s unique style throughout her career: from a teenage skater girl to award-winning film actress and fashion designer. The book includes early personal photos of Chloë taken by her high school friends; film stills; modeling appearances for brands such as Miu Miu and Chloé; magazine editorials for Purple, i-D, and The Face by top photographers such as Mark Borthwick, Terry Richardson, and Juergen Teller; and homages by artists such as Elizabeth Peyton and Karen Kilimnik. Additionally, Sevigny shares some of her treasured personal memorabilia, such as casting fliers, Polaroids, zines, and pages from her day planners. This volume will appeal to the legions of global Chloë fans and fashion industry followers, as well as a mainstream audience who will find this book an inspirational style bible.

Although the sex has never been better, emotions are running high as Creed grapples with his need to experience life in a big way while Dane is moving in the opposite direction. Now through all the shattered feelings, jealousy and second guessing, it's up to Sky to keep the best thing that's ever happened to her intact."Ink For Three More"Chad's life has taken a hard left turn. Now he's drifting through one town after another, looking for work and the sense of belonging that he had to leave back home along with what remained of a more innocent time. He's broke and getting desperate. Something's got to give. A chance meeting with Dane Frost, an insanely hot, famous tattoo artist in a Las Vegas coffee shop ends with a job offer that Chad would be a fool to refuse. The pay may not be much, but for now he's content with a living wage, new friends and a roof over his head. Ginger is a strong woman with a dynamite personality. She loves her job as an artist with Frost Studios working for her idol, but she's got major demons and an abusive boyfriend who continues to make her life hell. She needs a lover who will treat her with respect and give her the physical and emotional fulfillment that she so desperately lacks in her current relationship. Her soul is running on fumes. However, she still has her current relationship to think about, and she's no cheater. Xander is a beautiful man, and he knows it, but he's also damaged goods and in serious denial about many things in his life. He's used his looks and bedroom talents to score favors from older, closeted gay men on the down low for as long as he can remember. But now, Xander's current sugar daddy has grown bored of their arrangement, so it's time to sink or swim. Thankfully he knows of a hot young guy who recently took a room above the tattoo parlor where he gets inked. Maybe his artist, Ginger, can introduce them? Before Dane can make big moves in the world, he's got some serious self-exploration to do. When a new hire, Abby, enters the scene as a guest artist at the seedy studio where Dane works, he is unexpectedly enamored of her. Normally identifying as gay, Dane sees a woman who is every bit as strong as she is beautiful. Her ability with a tattoo gun is nearly unmatched, but it's her throaty laugh and dangerous curves that have Dane under her spell. Dane is thrown by this new sexual confusion, but he knows as well as anyone that he can't choose the people who enter his life and what effect they'll have on his future. Thankfully, Dane doesn't have to go it alone. His extremely supportive and dashingly handsome boyfriend, Hector, is faithfully at Dane's side as they both embark on a passionate journey toward broadening their sexuality.

Eye to Eye: Photographs by Vivian Maier

Richard Cahan - 2014
Her story—thousands of photo negatives and prints found in a storage locker and sold for pennies at auction—has stirred millions around the world. Maier was a painfully private woman who now speaks powerfully through the photographs she took only for herself. This new collection offers readers a chance to follow Maier as she travels the world, including images of France, Italy, Malaysia, Yemen, Puerto Rico, and America. These eye-to-eye portraits, published for the first time, are the single constant in her lifetime of photographic work. Maier is often cast as a quirky, antisocial character, moving on the outskirts of real connection. But these photographs show something more. Printed with the latest technology, the book utilizes a modified four-color process that produces images akin to traditional silver gelatin prints. Combined with 15u stochastic screening, Maier's 96 photographs in this volume are spectacularly sharp, full-range black-and-white reproductions.

Fostering Faust: Compilation: Rebirth

Randi Darren - 2019
Please read all the way through.)) Alex is dead. Dead, and apparently with a one way ticket to a place that only the worst of the worst go. All for a simple choice he made about a product his company owned. Damned for all time. Luckily for him, he’s about to be given a chance. Another choice to make. He can instead, return to the land of the living, though his soul would belong to another. Except the world he’s being sent to, isn’t the same one he came from. It’s not even a similar period in time, but from something long past in history. The dark ages. And part of the deal to live again, is to make pacts with others. Pacts that would bind others in secrecy. That they could never speak of what they'd done. Deals for anything, and everything. From things as simple as a meal, to their very lives. How much would you give of yourself to live on in the world is an easy question. The better question, is how much would you take from others? If Alex wants to keep living, to keep his soul from being sent to the darkest corner of hell, he’ll have to ask himself that question. Daily. Warning: This novel explores dark subjects, and what people will give up of themselves, and each other, to get what they want. The main character is written as a real person in a tough situation, and will not make choices that line up with societal and cultural norms. It contains adult themes and moral ambiguities. As with my previous work, explicit scenes are found within. It has violence and a harem relationship. This is the Omnibus edition of the 1st Fostering Faust Trilogy. It contains all three books of the first trilogy. Only the description of the first book has been included to prevent spoilers from occurring. Steve Madden - 2020

How New York Breaks Your Heart

Bill Hayes - 2018
Now he presents an exquisite collection that captures the full range of his work and the magic of chance encounters in New York City. Hayes's "frank, beautiful, bewitching" street photographs "unmask their subjects' best and truest selves" (Jennifer Senior, New York Times): A policeman pauses at the end of a day. Cooks sneak in cigarette breaks. A pair of movers plays cards on the back of a truck. Friends claim the sidewalk. Lovers embrace. A flame-haired girl gazes mysteriously into the lens. And park benches provide a setting for a couple of hunks, a mom and her baby, a stylish nonagenarian . . . How New York Breaks Your Heart reveals ordinary New Yorkers at their most peaceful, joyful, distracted, anxious, expressive, and at their most fleeting--bringing the texture of the city to vivid life. Woven through with Hayes's lyric reflections, these photos will, like the city itself, break your heart by asking you to fall in love.

Steve McQueen

William Claxton - 2000
But the star of such films as The Great Escape, Love with the Proper Stranger, Nevada Smith, The Getaway, and Papillon was largely a mystery off-screen. These photos, taken over a six-year period during the 1960s by one of the actor's best friends, show the hidden McQueen: tender, sensitive, and unpredictable.
