The story of the king titled perfectly as to Once Upon A Time…….. is the best example of this. The comedian in the Courts of the king helps him to win the heart of the most wise and beautiful damsel in the town. He uses all his wit so as to bring the beautiful maiden in the king’s palace. At the end, when he realizes that it is the wittiness that the lady was fallen for and not name or fame of the king, he pities himself. It could have been he himself who could have become the partner of the lady. She was not impressed with the king’s wealth neither craved for bravery. What she wished was a mind equivalent to her talents………. Alas……….

    Part biographical author is describing his journey, where he is not conforming to all strictures demanded by parikramawasi. While he is searching for the ultimate truth he falls in love with a widow. But, falling in love, both for an ascetic and the window is blasphemy in Hinduism . The second half blossoms into love story and ends with sacrifices of protagonists so that societal rules remain intact.

    And at the same time, it is but natural that you are not aware of the experiences I have gone through on a personal level. I also agree that it is not possible to put all my experiences in words. But still I would like to share some of the personal experiences which have the potential of some social cause or the other. I find it my duty to present these experiences before you. Actually, every human being who lives his or her life with open eyes and mind possesses such experiences, but not everybody takes the initiative to make them public. To be frank, you do not have to be born as an author to be able to share your experiences. Some of the experiences themselves have the immense strength of touching the minds, capturing the society; they do not need any so called author to put them into words. You do not have to take any trouble to be a writer, such experience itself starts flowing down in the form of writing. Upon seeing this, the partner of the bird gave out a loud out cry. It started wailing in grief. So loud and true was the sorrow that Saint Valmiki was touched by the it. The pain he experienced started flowing out in the form of "shlokas'.A true poetry takes birth in exactly the same manner. V. S. Khandekar has written this novel based on the shlokas so formed. Even today the innocent couples of herons are killed every now and then, These innocent couples represent the innocent people all over the world. The hunter which killed one of the bird was sinful, very very sinful, But so are today's political leader. They all are equally cruel, wicked. Since the day intelligence and power joined hands together, the kindness of the human heart has abruptly ended. The day when man starts rethinking about the feelings along with intelligence, then such killing will be stopped. In this novel, the author is trying to give us the message that if we follow our head as well as our heart then there are still chances for survival.
