Buddhism: For Beginners! The Ultimate Guide To Incorporate Buddhism Into Your Life - Harness The Power of Zen, Buddha, Mindfulness, Meditation & Yoga (Buddhism, ... Happiness, Yoga, Anxiety, Mindfulness)
Dominique Francon - 2014
Maybe you have formed a vague idea of what it represents in your mind, or even more, maybe you're even a "practitioner", and try to apply Buddha's teachings in your every day life. You see, in life we are ALL in the same game, and yet most poeple don't realize it. Most people don't even take the time to think HOW they can improve their existence. Most people don't even know what "living in the present" is. That's precisely why a large majority of the world's population so desperately need Buddhism. They aren't living, they are surviving, transiting lives filled with hate and pain. And so I did, back before I was introduced to Buddha's lessons. It took me time to learn those lessons. It took me a lot of time and effort to incorporate the secrets that would ultimately shape my entire life! And now, I'm willing to share those secrets with you. I wrote this book for a reason. I wrote this book to show you HOW you can improve your life by applying Buddha's lessons. I wrote it to show you how you can set apart from the average path and go the whole way instead. You see, I may not know you, but I certainly know something about you: both you and me are alike. Whether you are just starting to get in touch with Buddhism, or even if you have already done that and are actually USING it to your advantage, I know you don't settle for average. I know you want something better. You won't stop until you fully enjoy your life. Until you fully grasp the path of simplicity, calmness, and inner peace. You won't stop until you truly achieve all you can achieve. And guess what? That's precisely what we will go for on this book! Hey, I'm not saying you should shave your head and climb up to a mountain to become a monk. You don't have to do that, trust me. My approach to Buddhism is different. I'm a modern guy. I'm aware of the world we live in, and I don't want to turn things upside down, and I guess neither do you. So, don't worry! I've got you covered. We'll go through Buddha's teachings and we will APPLY them into our daily modern lives. Because that's what's all about, isn't it? It's about improving our lives. Improving our focus. Improving our happiness. Finding our way to inner peace. Wow, I'm so glad to be here to share this amazing journey with you! My goal is simple. I will help you incorporate Buddhism into your life. I will help you simplify your thoughts, adopting Zen as a way of being, and not just doing. Sounds too difficult? It's not. I will show you how. I will take you through a step by step guide where you simply can't get lost! Together, we will go to the roots of Buddhism, Mindfulness & Meditation and transform that knowledge into an incredibly journey that will forever change the way you approach life. So let's go for it! The Law and Other Essays on Manifestation
Neville Goddard - 2011
Not one thing has ever appeared in man's world but what man decreed that it should. This you may deny, but try as you will you cannot disprove it, for this decreeing is based upon a changeless principle. You do not command things to appear by your words or loud affirmations. Such vain repetition is more often than not confirmation of the opposite. Decreeing is ever done in consciousness. That is? every man is conscious of being that which he has decreed himself to be. Collected her are six essays on the Law of Attraction: The Law, Be What You Wish; Be What You Believe, By Imagination We Become, The Law of Assumption, Truth, and At Your Command.
Exodus and QB VII: Two Leon Uris Classics
Leon Uris - 2013
But the path that Jewish immigrants took to enter British-controlled Palestine was a difficult one, fraught with danger and political intrigue. The boat was intercepted by British forces and the refugees were placed in concentration camps.Uris’s blockbuster novel traces the lives of the men and women who brave British naval blockades to help Israel come into being, from Ari Ben Canaan, who works tirelessly to smuggle in settlers, to Kitty Fremont, an American nurse drawn into a vast, tragic history. Weaving together fact and fiction, history and dramatic storylines, Exodus stands today as one of the most influential narratives of the founding of the State of Israel. In QB VII, for Abe Cady, settlement is not an option when the facts of the Holocaust are on trial. A journalist and screenwriter, Cady produced the definitive account of the Holocaust just after World War II. But Polish doctor Adam Kelno, who was pressed into service in a notorious concentration camp, sues Cady for his book’s claim that the doctor conducted terrible experiments on camp inmates. The libel trial that follows tears open old wounds, disrupts lives, and becomes a battle for justice on behalf of tens of thousands of lost and damaged souls.QB VII is a gripping drama, largely based on author Uris’s own protracted libel defense against a former concentration camp surgeon named in his novel Exodus. It was made into the first miniseries in television history.

REAL: The Inside-Out Guide to Being Yourself
Clare Dimond - 2018
‘I want to be’ I said. ‘But who am I?’ Have you ever noticed that what you think about who you are, how you should be, how well you are doing changes? This is because our idea of who we are is created in thought and it is the nature of thought to change. Looking at this more clearly takes us on a breath-taking exploration into what is real about us. We discover what is permanent, unchanging. And it is never what we think. The first part of REAL looks at everything that cannot be true about who we are. It looks at what is transient, momentary and ever-changing such as our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, insecurities, habits, stress. These are all the things we can stop paying attention to because the only thing we know for sure about them is that they will change. And this leaves us with one important question: who are we? The second part of REAL explores what remains when our thought-created idea of self dissolves. It explores what is constant, what is always there regardless of transient thought and belief. By looking for the constant we get closer to the truth of us. When we live from this understanding, we have more freedom, integrity and wholeness than we had ever thought possible.

[3] Sadhguru is a practitioner of yogic temple building and consecration, creating the Dhyanalinga yogic temple in 1999. The consecration process employed Prana prathista which is different from the Mantra prathista process prevalent in Kumbabishekam rituals in practiced through the modern times.[4][5] Ancient Indian alchemical processes were allegedly used extensively in the temple building and consecration. Contrary to science, it is claimed that the presence of solid mercury at room temperature can be observed in the building[6]. Project Green Hands and initiative to increase the green cover of Tamil Nadu State by 33% in the next 15-25 years is spearheaded by Jaggi Vasudev[7]. The Zen Teachings of Jesus
Kenneth S. Leong - 2001
"Now I am forty and realize that I could have found the Tao in Jesus." This is an intriguing book that reveals how Zen philosophy parallels the core message of the gospel. It is the spiritual side of Zen, the art to trust and accept life that coincides with the core of the Gospel message. For power, dogma and doctrine were not Jesus' passion, but the mystery of life and the possibility of love. Sometimes people have overlooked the joy, the humor and the depth of Jesus' teachings—often because they could not surmount the narrow confines of openness to the scripture's power to transform our lives.
The Great Failure: A Bartender, A Monk, and My Unlikely Path to Truth
Natalie Goldberg - 2004
They had signed up for this lovely New Age weekend down in Florida -- what was going on with this Natalie Goldberg? I knew only a handful had read any of my books. How was I going to leap over this mess smoothly and talk about writing practice, where I was on solid ground? I mentioned the horses from the seminar title -- ahh, relief on their faces -- they had come to the correct lecture hall after all. Then everything dropped away. I had nothing to say.•••So begins the journey by one of America's favorite writing teachers. Natalie Goldberg has inspired millions to write to develop an intimate relationship with their minds and a greater understanding of the world in which they live. Now, through this honest exploration of her own life, Goldberg puts her teachings to work.In this wry, nimble memoir, Natalie Goldberg candidly depicts her father, Ben, an old-fashioned man's man who knew no boundaries -- a trait that was at once his greatest strength and most profound weakness. In capturing the essence of this larger-than-life Jewish bartender, she reveals the intricacies of a precarious father-daughter relationship. The tenuous bond with her father leads her in many directions and ultimately to Dainin Katagiri Roshi, a dynamic, celebrated Zen master. In light of an eye-opening discovery that shakes her ideal of this beloved teacher, Goldberg revisits her many years of loyal practice under Roshi's guidance.Elegantly weaving these tales together, this story is finally a search for truth when there are no easy answers. Filled with Goldberg's trademark gifts for both humor and teaching, The Great Failure touches our hearts and minds as we come to recognize the ways in which we fail to confront our illusions.
