Bianca Marie - 2016
Genesis Bass has lived in hell since the age of fourteen and hasn’t gotten any better. Being locked away in an extravagant mansion one would think she was living the life of a Queen only to find out that she is living the life of a prisoner. Under the watchful eye of Master Knight Genesis can only pray that she would one day be set free. With no one to love her and no one looking out for her she learns how to deal with her situation instead of allowing her situation to become her. Even though she is strong she is not strong enough to escape from the hands of Master Knight until her she is shown the truth about keeping faith. Khalid ‘Truth’ Richards is considered the real deal. A man who believes honesty is key and is as cool as fan should never be taken lightly especially when in a blink of an eye he can become deadly. He Fell From The Sky 2: The Finale

Pebbles Starr - 2018
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Yes, baby...” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “If this is true...will you ever...disappear?” I asked, somewhat fearful of his response. I was still skeptical to admit the facts, but deep down inside, I knew that what he was saying was true. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I don’t know the answer to that, Jett,” he said dubiously. “But I do know that no matter what happens, my love for you will last longer than a lifetime,” he confessed. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hearing that brought tears to my eyes and he gently brushed it away with his thumb. “You really believe that?” I croaked out. I couldn’t bear the thought of losing him. Not in this lifetime, not in any lifetime. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I believe true love will never fade,” he whispered. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I felt myself grapple with a myriad of mixed emotions. “But—” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Jett,” he interrupted, in a husky tone. “Dis shit can only change the vibe between us if you let it,” he said. “All that matters is I’m here now, with you. Don’t burden yourself with the what ifs, baby.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Leaning in, he pressed his lips against my own, and that warm, fuzzy feeling he gave me filled me up from the inside out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Words for Dr. Y: Uncollected Poems with Three Stories

Anne Sexton - 1978
Most particularly if she writes poems about death and violence. Or at least that is the lesson that the posthumous careers of Anne Sexton and Sylvia Plath seen to teach us.Reading this new volume of Sexton's previously uncollected poems, one has to wonder what will happen when there are no more half-finished poems left to be published. Will her grocery lists be next?I'm sure that the editor of this volume, Sexton's daughter Linda Gray Sexton, acts out of the desire to complete her mother's oeuvre, and apparently Anne Secton did leave instructions for at least some of her work, the section called "Letters for Dr. Y," to be published after her death. And in all fairness to Linda Gray Sexton I should mention that she and her co-editor Lois Ames did an excellent job of annotating and editing Anne Sexton's collected letters, putting together in A Self-Portroit in Letters (1977) a picture of a remarkably courageous woman and talented artist who fought her madness for many years. The heart of Anne Sexton's work lies in her earliest books - To Bedlam and Part Way Back, Live or Die, All My Pretty Ones. Here searing images take one by surprise, and the poems combine virtuoso technical skill with highly personal material is a way no one dies had ever done before. Yet as she grow older, worn down by her recurring bouts with insanity , Sexton's work grew sloppier, more self-indulgent , repetitive and heavy-handed. Her obsession with death and violence became more and more a part of some personal psychotic heil, more and more distorted each time she wrote, like a drawing one can't quite get right and finally ruins by constant erasure. The poems and the three horror stories in Words for Dr. Y are no exception.I would like to remember Anne Sexton for what I consider to be those extraordinary poems written in the face of great odds - poems like "Music Swims Back to Me," "You, Dr. Martin," "Her Kind." But the continuing publication of her inferior work tends to obscure her real achievement. [susan wood]

Coma Therapy

Eric Victorino - 2007
Important, so inspiring... Please read this book" -Sonny Moore, Recording Artist "There are very few ways to get inside the mind of a lyricist. One way is through reading their diaries, the other through sleeping with them. Eric's book is the more entertaining of the options. It's a raw look inside the heart and mind of a rock 'n' roll spiritualist whose struggles with love (Chaplin) and versus the world (Keaton) are laid out bare like an exhibitionist on a double-dare." -Mike Shea, Founder, AP Magazine "Coma Therapy" is the sound of a powerful new voice in contemporary American literature. Victorino's brand of punchy prose often draws comparisons to the likes of Charles Bukowski and Hunter S. Thompson. This debut collection of poems and short stories draws a dangerously thin line between the heartwarming and the horrifying... Eric Victorino then mischievously walks that line all the way to the last page. Defiant, triumphant, hopeful and wise.
