Painted Fans of Japan: Fifteen Noh Drama Masterpieces

Reika Chiba - 1962
The shape and palm size of the book, lens it to be used as a fan it's self. The rich red brioche cover, and the thick page-with bright graphics, made this book feel rich and expensive. IT WAS NOT. This book was aimed by Tuttle to the the children, as week as a gift book for adults. I still have mine from the 1970's, along with all the Tuttle books i was so lucky to receive. If you enjoy Japanese culture and especially the fan and kimono--this book is a lovely stepping stone into the wonderous world.
