Circle for Hekate -Volume I, History & Mythology: Dedicated to the light-bearing Goddess of the crossroads in all her many faces, manifestations, and names. (The Circle for Hekate Project Book 1)

Sorita d'Este - 2017
The book serves as a comprehensive introduction to her many myths and legends, viewed through the Divine Ancestry attributed to her in Hesiod’s Theogony (800-700BCE), as well as an exploration of her conflation with other goddesses, archaeology, literature, and iconography. Hekate’s worship was never limited to one geographical region. Her presence is well attested in Greece and Turkey, as well as Egypt, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Russia, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Sicily and Southern Italy. She has possible links to Minoan Crete, her most famous temple stood in Lagina, and she was a popular goddess in ancient Athens. Her history reveals many fascinating stories: how Hekate Phosphoros saved ancient Byzantium from an invasion by Phillip II of Macedonia (father of Alexander the Great); and how a visit to her temple in Ephesus influenced Julian the Apostate, the last Pagan Emperor of Rome. Hekate was connected to Artemis, Demeter, Persephone, Isis, Diana, Despoina and other significant goddesses, appearing in single-and triple-bodied forms, as well as theriocephalic emanations with the heads of various animals. She shared the symbols of the torch, whip, snake and dagger with the Erinyes, and wielded the key to the Mysteries, wearing variously the modius, polos, kalathos and Phrygian cap. She shared paeans with Dionysos, stood with Hermes at the throne of the Phrygian Kybele, and sat next to Zeus in the cult of the Empty Throne. Far from being an obscure goddess, her torches illuminated the Mysteries at Eleusis, Samothrace, Aegina and Ephesus, leading the way for initiates. Suitable for reading as a standalone text by those fascinated in the history and myths related to Hekate, Circle for Hekate: History & Mythology also serves as background reading for those wishing to pursue a more practical understanding of the goddess, providing a clear contextual foundation for practice. Subsequent volumes in this series build upon the foundation provided in this first book to include devotional rites, meditations, contemplations and charms, giving readers the opportunity to develop their own personal understandings and relationships with this goddess.

Shakti Rising: Embracing Shadow and Light on the Goddess Path to Wholeness

Kavitha M. Chinnaiyan - 2017
The Mahavidyas have traditionally been steeped in esoteric and mystical descriptions, often removed from the practicalities of the spiritual journey. In this book, which is written from the perspective of an ordinary woman—a cardiologist, wife and mother—these great goddesses come to life to reveal subtle aspects of the inner journey such as spiritual bypassing, spiritual materialism, and self-deception. The fierce symbolism of the Mahavidyas (Kali, Tara, Tripurasundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Tripura Bhairavi, Chinnamasta, Dhumavati, Baglamukhi, Matangi, and Kamalatmika) are explored through the lens of yoga, tantra and Vedanta. These great goddesses become the focal points for inquiry into our various shadow aspects that keep us from realizing our eternal, unborn and undying blissful nature. With practices, self-inquiry prompts, and stories from the author’s own spiritual seeking, this exploration of the divine feminine will gently reveal the source of your fear, pain, and suffering, showing you that when you allow those parts of yourself to arise and simply be, you can finally begin to heal, overcome your limitations, and open to the light and beauty of your true nature. Through exercises and contemplations of the progressive and the direct paths, you’re invited to embrace all aspects of yourself into wholeness, the essence of non-duality.

Circe's Wand: Empowerment | Enchantment | Magick

Baal Kadmon - 2017
I find personally that the magick that employs the Goddess is simply more powerful for me. I don’t know exactly why. Perhaps it is just my personal experience or my karma that the divine Feminine speaks through and to me. I don’t know, but I do know that almost all rituals I perform include the Goddess energy. Not that I don’t use Male energy at all, I do, but for my personal every day practice, it is rare. A few exceptions do exist such as my work with Shiva the God of the Hindu Pantheon, St Expedite and occasionally Ganesh. One Goddess that I resonate very strongly with is Circe, not many know of her in the mainstream occult. I know of her through the many years of study and experimentation. She is quite powerful. There is almost a kind of irritability in her nature which makes her slightly unpredictable, but I find, despite that, she is incredibly powerful. She is known as a Goddess of Witches, a divine sorceress herself. She is born of a sun God and A Water Nymph and therefore she has the full range of magickal force behind her. She is most known for, in the literature of old, as the Goddess who turned Odysseus’s entourage into swine. She is a true witch and sorceress and it is for this reason I will teach you various ways to tap into her power. I must warn you, she is very powerful and does not “suffer fools lightly” as they say. In this book, we will discuss briefly who Circe is, rituals employing her energy and how to make an essential tool for her magick, a wand. In this book, we will perform the following rituals with Circe: Protection Ritual Using A Talisman Pouch Divination Using An Obsidian Mirror For Personal Empowerment To Become Seductive to Anyone Enchant Someone to Do Your Bidding Calling On Circe For Physical Healing Calling On Circe For Prosperity I know you will find this magick with Circe quite powerful.
