Collection of Art Young political/social cartoons previously run in Saturday Evening Post, Nation, Collier's, New Masses, and Life.

    They were based on an Express cartoon strip that began in the 1930s. The original author was Mary Tourtel, but Alfred Bestall took over in 1936 and became the most popular author. The older annuals are sought after in almost any condition by avid collectors. The franchise still continued after Bestall's retirement, notably with John Herrold.
