Rowan
Imani King - 2015
I got the job as a professional muralist for New York’s wealthiest citizens, and I had the perfect relationship with a man I wanted to start a family with. Five years later, I’m single, barely employed, and thousands of dollars in debt to New York’s best infertility treatment centre. It turns out the only thing I couldn’t control was my body -- it betrayed me and left me with a diagnosis of untreatable, inexplicable, devastating -- infertility. When a cowboy billionaire appears out of the blue, offering an exorbitant amount of money for a job I can complete in a month, there’s no question that I’m hopping on a plane to New Mexico. It’s the perfect opportunity -- to forget the family I’ll never have. But when the limo rolls up to Rowan Corbett’s estate in the middle of nowhere, I know that there’s one more thing I won’t be able to control. With thick black hair, sapphire eyes, and a jawline that could cut steel, Rowan looks like he just stepped out of a wild west book from fifty years ago. As the weeks go by … I start to wonder, can love be the cure I’m looking for? Rowan is a standalone romance with an HEA.

First Love
Viola Black - 2014
His large, calloused yet soft hand enveloped mine and I intertwined my fingers with his. I never quite got over how our hands looked when we held hands; it was like the Yin and Yang circle, although our hands are not perfectly black and white but there is a contrast.
Of Mobsters and Men (Book #1)
L.A. Tehpeacemaker - 2018
You'd have to be living under a rock if you grew up in northern Boston and didn't know who he is. He's the heartthrob of every Italian girl in my neighborhood, the man who's probably had your daughter roll through his sheets at least once, the devilishly handsome mysterious man with dark brown eyes that gave you nightmares, and yes, every horrible thing you've probably heard about him is very much true. Did I also mention he destroyed my dreams and aspirations in life when he asked my father for my hand in marriage?
Wanting Her
Hattie Black - 2015
She had just completed her third interview, and was told to wait in the lobby while the three person panel deliberated. Renee was positively hopeful. It was her 3rd call back after all. She looks around the sitting area, and notices one young man with spiked hair wearing a thin black tie with a black and white checkered shirt, and another woman with black rimmed glasses, blonde bangs, and tresses, and a burgundy sweater. "I guess this is the competition." Renee whispers to herself under her breath. She glances down at her own apparel. Renee is dressed in black washed out slacks, a black blouse with ruffles down the center, and her thick curly hair worn up in a top-knot bun. Of course she is wearing her trusty black ballet flats - that Renee almost never leaves home without. Eventually the conference room door opens, and one by one each candidate is called back into the large room with an oval glass table, surrounded by silver high-back chairs. When Renee is summoned, she immediately springs up and speeds walk toward the room. Whether good or bad news, Renee is anxious to learn the final outcome.

She was the daughter of the richest man in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and he was just a Sergeant in the Air Force. That didn’t mean a thing, because nothing felt as perfect when she was in his arms. The final day before he left for his nine-month tour, Wes slipped a ring on her finger and vowed he was coming back. He left her with another gift. Christine was pregnant from the man she loved. Her not-so-nice father was breathing down her neck, since he had promised his shady business partner she’d marry him, with or without her consent. If he found out she was pregnant God knew what he’d do, so Christine had no other choice but to run, to have her baby in safety, all the while dreaming about Wes and praying he came home safe. For the holidays he’d met the woman of his dreams, and while Christine hid in fear, her man was on his way. Wes was back, and mad as hell that her father made her run. He was about to tear New Mexico apart to find her, and his plan was to take down everyone in his path, including her father. Leaving the dope game was always something that Deuce had planned to do. The untimely death of his father made the decision for him sooner than he thought. Life in the fast lane was all that Zina knew and she was having a hard time adjusting to her husband’s new stance. Her unwillingness to change puts a strain on their marriage and causes conflict in their home. Zina and Deuce seem to be going in different directions and it’s almost impossible for them to get on the same path. Lies are told, secrets are revealed and no one is who they allege to be. Worlds collide and lives are destroyed irrevocably. Can Deuce and his wife mend a marriage that seems to be continuously torn apart? Will Lyric find the love that has eluded her for so long or will she continue to be haunted by heartbreak and past mistakes?
The Book of Adam and Jo: an Interracial Literary Romance
C.L. Donley - 2019
And not just because of who we are. Passion. It’s reckless. Doesn’t care who sees or what it costs. It’s good if you have a little. Just enough to aim and shoot. Hit your goal. But it shouldn’t be spilling all over the place. Damn. I knew the danger. The whole time. She seemed a little lonely, but she seemed decent. Moral. Had her head in the right place. I just can’t remember why I thought that would keep me safe. Why would a woman not have the power to consume me, just because she was decent and moral? Since when did pure oxygen become less of a threat to a match? But then, a wild, stubborn, loudmouth son of a bitch like me definitely shoulda kept her safe. So I don’t know what the hell is goin’ on. A stern and heartfelt warning from the author: This book contains the first-person perspective and inner monologue of a former nazi/white supremacist main character named Adam Kerr. He has a swastika tattoo on his arm and lives in a racially segregated town called Bethesda, set fictionally in North Carolina. He is not politically correct. He's not a Republican, but he's sure as hell, not a Democrat. He's never heard the term "cisgender," he has no pronouns and he does not know what "safe spaces" are. He does not keep up with current events on the world stage. He does not have social media because he does not have friends, he only has family. He doesn't mind you reading about him, nor he does care your thoughts and feelings about his thoughts and feelings. He only cares about what one woman thinks about him, and that woman is JoAnn Abrams Kerr. If this is your first C.L. Donley book, I recommend that you put off buying this one, and start with a different book [my recommendation: Leftovers With Benefits]. If you don't like that one, then you will hate this one. If you do like it, then proceed with Adam and Jo at your own risk. I create all my characters with unflinching realism, empathy, and dimension, so if you have problems feeling positively and/or negatively toward a person that you don't agree with, who is the main focus of the book, then you should move on. For those of you who've read my work before and appreciate it, check out the sample before downloading the book. This book is unlike the others, in that it straddles the fence between romance and literary/women's fiction. If you know and trust me as an author, I'm hoping you will trust me again. It is incredibly steamy. You will be triggered. You will be challenged. You will cry. You will laugh. You'll cry again. You should probably take off work. Wanna read a story? Then let's flippin' do this. C.L.

Kandi's Crush
Michelle Karise - 2019

At least there’s a consolation prize. My client is fabulously successful, insanely rich Chadwick St. Clair. We have sort of a history. As a pigtailed kid, I lived to torment him. When I grew old enough to notice his hard-as-steel body, warm eyes, and gentle voice that talked me through some hard times, I crushed on him. Hard.My first glimpse of him in three years proves nothing has changed. He still makes my mouth water, my hands shake. But our history—and his reputation as a playboy with broken hearts from New Orleans to DC—isn’t the only thing standing between us. And a summer of breathless kisses and addictive encounters may not be enough to build a lasting love.
Ravenous
Cali Burem - 2019
When her boyfriend breaks up with her for ‘gaining a little too much weight’, Mia’s best friend decides that Mia is in desperate need of a new and private space away from the bastard. She finds the perfect house in the perfect place with, unfortunately, the worse possible roommate. When Mia first met the almost unbearably attractive Westley Nott, they were pretty much enemies from the get-go. But now, having already signed the tenants’ agreement, she has to live with him and not try murder him in his sleep for at least six months before she can get out of it. … Westley needs a quiet get-away a lot more than he needs to be able to get away from the headache that is Mia Rhodes. With her sharp tongue, proud attitude and sensuous relationship with food, he can think of a million ways of distracting her mouth but none of them would be advised. Westley’s skills in the kitchen however, seem to tame the vexing vixen and as they become closer, he finds that he wants to fill her mouth with more than just his delicious desserts. Mia is afraid of asking for seconds but Westley isn’t the type of man to let a starving woman go hungry.
