Vines of Ostara
John P. Logsdon - 2019
There are just a few bugs to fix first... Join this comedic romp through the land of Kazaran, where you'll find interesting characters, a vast RPG world, adult themes/language/innuendo (don't worry, it's not a harem/reverse-harem book!)...and a fair amount of bloodshed too! In a nutshell, Kazaran is intended for mature audiences who harbor very immature thoughts. Grant Palaski is a low-level bug tester at the world’s largest MMORPG, Kazaran Online. It was meant to be a starting point to a high-level writing job, but all he has to show for his master’s is a mountain of student loan debt, a grudging addiction to caffeine, and zero respect. When he is handpicked to lead a group of pro gamers into Kazaran's new innovation, everyone is shocked. Why him? Even Grant can't answer that question, but he's not going to pass up the opportunity of a lifetime. The mission is to go from a level 1 newbie to a level 50 master. Millions of jealous gamers from all over the globe will watch the adventure, though hopefully, there’s no cameras in the showers. Plus, he’ll get paid. A lot. Except he probably should have questioned more about why he was chosen. Someone inside the company doesn’t want him to succeed. When everything goes wrong, Grant and his party have to balance the challenges of the game with uncovering the mystery of who sabotaged their test run. Can a guy used to losing lead his team to victory? Or will it be game over for good?

Virgil's Pact
Maxwell Farmer - 2022
A malevolent disease. The Doctor is in. Virgil's a veterinarian, a man dedicated to being a healer of animals. Despite the ups and downs of caring for sick and injured creatures, his career was more than a job. It was his calling. Then his dedication was noticed, and the world around him faded as he was yanked through the void. The great world tree, Yggdrasil, needed a group that could work together to stop a threat that could end reality. The world tree summoned a team of five champions into a world straight out of fantasy, and remade them into something more. Unfortunately for Virgil, he was granted almost no skills that cause damage, and his body was shifted into a reviled Dark Elf. Now hated by the locals, and of little use to the others that can already heal themselves as well as deal damage, Virgil was cast aside. Abandoned and alone, Virgil will take on the threat to this world… no matter what ally gets in his way.
We Hunt Monsters 1
Aaron Oster - 2022
After making a deal with a mysterious immortal, he was sent to a new world in hopes of gaining the offered reward - a chance at a better life with his family. However, Keith failed to realize that this deal did not come with an expiration date, no matter how many times he died. After dying for the dozenth time, Keith renegotiates with the immortal. This new deal will see him sent to the world of Raiah - a world filled with monsters, cowardly monkeys, and a system of magic very similar to the fantasy roleplaying games his brother used to enjoy. Completing a quest to hunt the most dangerous monsters on the planet, is the price Keith will need to pay to regain his old life. It’s a good thing that all of his experiences in his previous lives translate to Skills in this new one because if Keith fails this time, the price he will need to pay will be far steeper. We Hunt Monsters is a crunchy LitRPG in an epic fantasy setting. Fans of Dakota Krout, Will Wight, and the Monster Hunter games will enjoy this new series by the bestselling author of the Rise to Omniscience and Buryoku series.
Still Ain't Dead (The Ex Wife Odyssey Book 1)
J.T. Harrington - 2019
He's used to waking up with hangovers that leave most people curled around a toilet. But that all changes after one drunken night of revelry. Instead of a bathroom floor, he wakes up to find he's been dead for 500 years. And if that ain’t enough, the earth he knew is long gone. Zombies, cataclysmically evil robots, and techno-demons seem to be the least of his problems, as they all pale compared to his crazy immortal ex-wife! Disclaimer: Book has graphic violence, adult language and situations. Recommend reading is 18+ A TRUE ADVENTURER by Munch from Royal Road Rory Quinn literally crashes into a post apocalyptic world, divided between local fiefdoms full of terrible, strange, and also just ordinary people. Where most litrpg-esque characters are brainy nerdy types, Rory fits well into the archetype of the accomplished jock. Full of valuable experience in fucking women, beating up scum, and power dynamics. And of course, playing baseball. Watch him as he murderhobos his way across the former southern united states, violently not giving a shit about the lives of slavers, psychos, and loud mothed amoral narcissists and their followers. Walking into legend with a louisville slugger on his shoulder and a big dick swinging between his legs. ACTION, ADVENTURE WITH COMEDIC RELIEF by Wise_Fool from Royal Road TL:DR Why the hell didnt i read this sooner?! Honestly, I cant be bothered to spend the time on a more in-depth review, cause i wanna get back to reading this. Here's the bottom line up front: good action. dark, casual humor. enjoyable. It's written well. The first chapter was a semi-well-used plotline, but it was written well, preventing me from being bored. It was an odd feeling tbh, wanting to get to the story, but enjoying the filler and background. If you dont have a bit of a wild side to you, then you may not enjoy this as much as others, but with all things ymmv. I personally find this to be great.
