Elizabeth's Refuge: An Elizabeth and Darcy Story

Timothy Underwood - 2019
The honorable man whose proposal she refused years before.... Elizabeth had become a governess following Mr. Bennet's death. And now she thought she had killed her employer, the Earl of Lachglass, while defending herself from his vile advances. When Elizabeth is reunited with Mr. Darcy, their love blossoms. Darcy's old passion for her quickly wakes again, and Elizabeth can clearly see Mr. Darcy's character and his kindness and goodness. But the Earl of Lachglass survived, and he wants revenge. It shall take all of Elizabeth's and Darcy's strength, and the help of Darcy's cousin General Fitzwilliam, for her to escape. Warning: This story has a scene of attempted sexual violence, though Elizabeth successfully defends herself.

Don't flatter yourself - Revisited: The alternate version of this Pride & Prejudice Variation

Sydney Salier - 2020
In the original P&P Mr Darcy had an issue with the behaviour of Mrs Bennet and Elizabeth's younger sisters, as well as their social standing. What if Mr Bennet married a second time and his new wife is a Lady with impeccable manners, whose daughter, from her first marriage to the Earl Fellmar, is Lady Elizabeth. Will Mr Darcy’s pride still be an issue?Or will Lady Elizabeth’s prejudice be a problem?Or both? What will it take for two proud people to find their happily ever after?------------------------------------------------------When I came up with the concept for ‘Don’t flatter yourself’, I had two options. One, in which Mrs Francine Bennet played down the fact of her background, which made Darcy think Elizabeth was beneath him. Two, in which Lady Francine and Lady Elizabeth were open about their status (although maybe not about the extent of Elizabeth’s dowry) and Darcy has no hesitation about wanting to court Elizabeth.I decided to write version one, but the second version wouldn’t leave me in peace and wanted to be written as well.So here it is.

Practical Engagements: A Fitzwilliam Darcy Story

Sophie Rae - 2017
This story is as much about Elizabeth and Darcy's torturous road to love, as it is about Colonel Fitzwilliam's parallel, purgative journey. It is a tale about falling in love, falling out of love, and just falling. Intended for ages 17 to 117, due to some implicit but more mature themes.

Progression Vol. 3: A Continuation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice

Jodi L. Covey - 2017
After a long and arduous Season in London, Mr. and Mrs. Darcy wish more than anything to return to Pemberley and await the birth of their first child. Life, however, has other plans for the couple. As Elizabeth's pregnancy advances, they are ultimately obliged to part long enough to face ordeals without the benefit of each other's company, comfort and support. Will the separation serve to strengthen or torment them? Just returned from battle, Richard Fitzwilliam finds himself grudgingly adapting to a life forever altered by a sudden and tragic change of circumstance. His duties vastly more significant, he discovers a threat to his family that cannot be ignored as a nefarious nobleman appears bent on claiming the infatuated Anne de Bourgh's hand and fortune. Will Fitzwilliam's honorable endeavors to protect his cousin only make things worse? Charlotte Collins, meanwhile, is granted no more peace as she frets over her vulnerable friend and her own burgeoning attraction to the local physician. Will her prayers to find serenity in her comfortably secure situation be answered? Is the scorned Caroline Bingley truly mad, or just horribly bitter? And who will be hurt by her poor judgment as a result? Is Georgiana Darcy finally ready to make her own decisions, or is it best to continue trusting in her wise, well-intentioned and ever-devoted brother with regards to her future? For better or worse, Jane Austen's beloved characters continue to make choices and suffer consequences in this third installment.

Wish Upon a Star

Ola Wegner - 2017
What if Darcy and Elizabeth had come to understanding in very different circumstances and a bit later than in the novel? --------------------------------- Elizabeth walked back to the desk. Mr Darcy was writing busily, a frown of concentration gracing his forehead. “Yes, Miss Bennet?” he asked, interrupting his work to look up at her. “Have you changed your mind about keeping my company?” “The door is closed.” “Closed,” he repeated. She nodded. “Yes. I cannot open it.” “It must have gotten stuck.” “Well, I have no strength to push it open.” Darcy stood up, walked around the desk and straight to the door. After a moment it turned out that he was as unsuccessful at opening the solid oak door as she was. “What is the meaning of this?” Elizabeth asked. “It appears that someone must have locked the door from the outside.” Her eyes widened. “Locked it?” “Yes, I cannot explain it otherwise.” “Why would someone do such a thing?” “Yes, why would someone do such a thing…why indeed?” Darcy asked, his expression both bewildered and dazed. “What shall we do now?” she wanted to know, expecting him to find a solution to their dilemma. “We should wait,” he answered quickly. “Wait?” “If someone locked it by accident, this person must open it in due time,” Darcy stated. Elizabeth was not convinced with his reasoning. “Perhaps,” she said, the tone of her voice doubtful. She stepped to the door and pulled at the handle. She did not know why she did it. The door was closed, after all. “Should we not cry for help?” she suggested. “Or look for the key? Mr Bingley might keep a spare key in one of the drawers of the desk.” “Are you in any danger, Miss Bennet?” he asked. “Do you not trust me?” “No, of course not. I mean, I do trust you, sir. Nevertheless, it is all rather strange, will you not agree with me?” “I am confident that it is nothing more than a simple misunderstanding. As for the key, I have never seen one.” “Could it be a servant? The person who locked the door?” “Quite possibly.” Elizabeth felt that her confusion was growing. “I do not understand,” she whispered.
