    Darcy, and should not be considered a completely separate novel. The first third of the books are virtually identical, but after that the plots diverge substantially. In my opinion, Impulse & Initiative is a stronger book, but The Rule of Reason has some segments which I particularly like. I'm making this available at the request of several readers, but it won't be sold outside Lulu.The premise is the same as for Impulse & Initiative, but in the library scene at Pemberley, Darcy and Elizabeth make a different decision. As a result, they do not marry in Derbyshire, and the action that follows is quite different. This book, like From Lambton to Longbourn, contains no graphic scenes.

    Darcy and Elizabeth's first year of marriage continues in Volume II of A Marriage Worth the Earning where both husband and wife struggle with more than their fair share of difficulties.
