The Tracker Hive Academy: Year One

Avery Song - 2019
I've endured being the bad gal in the room. I’ve taken a lot of life’s punches on the chin. But never did I expect to be forced to attend an academy full of power-hungry delinquents. Born with powers far too great to control, I ended up homeless at eight years old. With my family gone, I lived on the streets, learning quickly that the world was just as cold as my beating heart. Because I carry all eight magic elements, enemies sought me out from every dark corner. Luckily, I was saved and taken in by Alaric Masters, headmaster of Tracker Hive Academy. My name is Jade Storm, and I’m the youngest recruit to become a Tracker. Now that I'm eighteen, Alaric is insisting that I attend the academy. I’ll do it, but on my own terms. My only goal is to learn just how powerful I am and breeze through the next four years. I have no interest in joining any cliques, and I’m not here to make friends. If there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that I work best alone. However, the Troubled Four — Zeke, Zion, Zackery, and Zeus — have other plans. Quadruplets who together carry all eight elements, the boys are desperate to make me submit to their trickery. They’re stupid to think I’ll play by anyone's rules but my own. I can handle whatever threats, traps, bullying, and schemes are thrown my way, because I'm not here to be a good student. I'm here to keep my secret safe from those who will do everything to see me perish. Game on. This is an 18+ Academy Romance.

And she knows just the scientist to help her.  Professor Hudson Nors has secrets of his own—secrets he’s kept for eternity, and which he never wants to see the light of day. Suddenly, Briar, with her strange condition and boundless curiosity, turns the world Hudson’s spent centuries perfecting, upside down.  But this pale, fragile girl has a spine of steel, and if Hudson won’t help her, she’ll find someone who will.  By a luck, or fate, Briar meets Hudson’s brothers, Marcus, Valen, and Sylvain. Picture Perfect

Alessandra Thomas - 2013
After two years of runway modeling for easy cash, an accident shattered her lower leg bone and her self-esteem in just one swift fall. Ten months of no exercise, prescription steroids, comfort eating and yoga pants meant returning to campus as a size twelve instead of her former size two. When her gorgeous long-time friend with benefits sees her for the first time after her accident and snubs her in front of all her friends, Cat’s self-image hits rock bottom. Her sorority sisters all insist that she looks gorgeous, but all Cat sees is the roll of her stomach when she sits down, or the dimpling at the back of her thighs that wasn't there last year. Cat’s therapist prescribes something radical to stop the downward spiral - nude modeling for a nearby college's human form drawing classes. When Cat faces her fears and bares it all for the class, she realizes that she's posing naked in front the most gorgeous, buffest guy she's ever seen in her life. He asks her out after the class, and after one steamy night together, Cat's absolutely smitten.Nate’s pretty close to perfect – he takes Cat rock climbing when he discovers that it makes her feel strong and becomes a great chef after he learns that the perfect pesto sauce makes her swoon. Cat starts to feel like her old self again - confident and beautiful - as long as Nate's around. Even when he discourages her from entering the Real Woman Project, a design competition for plus-sized apparel, she reasons that he's just trying to prevent old body image wounds from splitting wide open again. But when Cat goes home with Nate for Thanksgiving, she discovers something shocking from his recent past that proves that he hasn’t always been so encouraging of women of all shapes and sizes. Cat has no idea what to think, but she does know one thing - this might destroy their relationship before it's even had a chance to get off the ground. Before Cat can figure out whether the real Nate is the sensitive, adoring guy she fell in love with, or an undercover asshole, she'll have to finally feel comfortable in her own skin - even if it means leaving him forever.(This book contains sex and adult language.)

How to Ruin a Summer Vacation

Simone Elkeles - 2006
That black dress Jessica has is really awesome. I know I’d be selling out if I go with the Sperm Donor to a mall, but I keep thinking about all the great stuff I could bring back home.  Unfortunately for 16-year-old Amy Nelson, “moshav” is not Hebrew for “shopping mall.” Not even close. Think goats, not Gucci. Going to Israel with her estranged Israeli father is the last thing Amy wants to do this summer. She’s got a serious grudge against her dad, a.k.a. “Sperm Donor,” for showing up so rarely in her life. Now he’s dragging her to a war zone to meet a family she’s never known, where she’ll probably be drafted into the army. At the very least, she’ll be stuck in a house with no AC and only one bathroom for seven people all summer—no best friend, no boyfriend, no shopping, no cell phone… Goodbye pride—hello Israel.

Saint

E.M. Snow - 2020
It is not recommended for readers under 17 as it contains dubious situations and triggers that some readers may find offensive. It is NOT a standalone and ends in a cliffhanger.

Broke Down

Sharan Daire - 2021
I’ve got no money in the bank, no place to stay, and no food for my kids. Can it get any worse? Sure. A police car pulls up. The county sheriff calls his twin brother to tow my car for repairs that'll probably cost more than the beater is worth. They say don’t worry about it. They only want to help.Sure they do. These gorgeous guys just happen to have two friends who own a luxurious motel called Little Cypress Lodge. I walk into this incredible hotel and it's like I've entered a new fantasy world. It's warm, there's plenty of food for my kids, and they say I can stay. For free. As long as I need a place. The four of them even want to hire me to do some modeling work for their new fashion line. Crazy, right?Me. The broke down, homeless single mom.If I can keep up the act long enough to make some deposits on a new place, I can start a new life for me and my kids. If I don't lose my heart first.

Impetuous

Mercedes Jade - 2019
Tess Sinclair thought she had it all figured out, or at least, locked down for those last few months of prerequisite classes and working weekend shifts to earn tuition. One phone call from child services changes all her plans and she is forced to move back home. Maddy. Mad as sin. Mom. Tess may have turned eighteen, but now she feels like an adult going backwards. There are sibling fights to break up without joining them. Dinner recipes to fake from the can because her mother's too medicated to recite the ingredients. Being the new girl at the final year at high-school is a whole other level of teenage torture that she should have outgrown. Ditto to boy crushes. The good boy gone bad, his devilishly smart twin, and the hot jock that normally wouldn't give her the time of day, forget make a play. All led by a dark prince that finds out her sneakers are made of glass. They ought to be the kings of the school and Tess the poor, bullied girl from the wrong side of the tracks. This Cinderella tale has been told before, with a charming but predictable ending. Except, no one seems to have gotten the tropes right. The prince has a wicked stepmother. The jock struggles to hide he has more brains than brawn. The rich, heartthrob twins are bullied by the masses instead of put on a pedestal. Tess is the only one willing to come to their rescue. Can she figure out the hidden secret twisting their roles? If Tess can't run, then she'll learn to fight fate to get her victory lap to the finish line. Warnings/Triggers for references to mental health, institutionalization and stereotypes. Mention of child abuse/neglect. There is adult intimacy, violence and language as well as the usual drugs and alcohol with these darker themes. Oh, and lame jokes. I have plenty of those. Some may offend since they can take a religious tone as I poke fun of the Catholic school. You were warned. In this book the main female character ends up with multiple love interests at the end of the series in a HFN. +++ How about a 'bully themes' RH book with a different twist? The MFC comes to the rescue of her bullied harem and they work together to overcome their challenges. I would NOT group this with other bully romances out there and don't want to disappoint anyone expecting otherwise. This book contains bullying of the main characters but not to each other, which is the twist, a bully romance where the harem comes together to deal with it.
