Responding to complaints about the Mormon view of deity, Elder B.

H. Roberts published an address which came to the attention of Reverend Cyril Van der Donckt, who in turn wrote a critique of Roberts's essay. This, with a rejoinder by Roberts, was published in 1903 under the title The Mormon Doctrine of Deity (arguably Roberts's finest apologetic work). These well-reasoned essays are well worthy of, and still invite, our scrutiny and response.
